CES — Tarari, Inc., the leader in deep
content inspection silicon, today announced that it is demonstrating the
industry’s first hardware-accelerated anti-virus protection for consumer
network storage at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2007. Tarari will
show an ultra high-speed solution that inspects all data at line rates that
is optimized for Marvell’s® Orion Media Vault. The Marvell Orion Media
Vault platform together with Tarari’s award-winning Content Inspection
Processor ASIC is designed to scan all data for viruses prior to being
stored onto or retrieved from Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems.

Together the joint reference solution will enable consumers to take
advantage of groundbreaking media vault platforms that allow users to
instantly access rich multimedia and data content throughout the home
without worrying about viruses spreading unchecked. Powering digital life
in the home with the industry’s first home-wide Quality of Service (QoS),
the Marvell Orion Media Vault family offers true, uninterrupted
multi-streaming performance that adds an additional layer of protection
from emerging security threats.

Tarari is demonstrating the advanced anti-virus protection for Network
Storage at Marvell’s booth at CES. The Marvell booth is located in South
Hall 3, Upper Level of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth 30813.

“The Marvell vision of the digital lifestyle drove the development of our
original Orion product family. In 2007 consumer storage devices will be
even better protected by Tarari and Marvell’s new advanced anti-virus
solution as valuable digital assets are processed at line rates,” said Dr.
Simon Milner, Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Business Unit
in the Communications and Consumer Business Group at Marvell. “The
combination of Tarari technology with our Orion family of Media Vault
platforms further builds on our innovation in storage and connectivity to
go far beyond traditional NAS technology, and we believe will deliver a
protected media vault platform that brings new levels of user experience
and security to the digital home.”

“Tarari is excited to be partnering with Marvell to bring this anti-virus
solution to the consumer marketplace,” said Randy Smerik, President/CEO and
co-Founder of Tarari, Inc. “Consumers are finding that they are being
bombarded by increasingly malicious security threats including attempts to
steal personal information and using it to perpetrate identity fraud. Now
with this joint Tarari-Marvell solution consumers will be able to sleep
happier in their beds at night.”

The joint Tarari-Marvell reference solution is capable of powering a range
of Orion Media Vault platforms, each capable of delivering simultaneous
streams of rich, multimedia content seamlessly across wired and wireless
networks.
