Aug 02, 2006 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) — A trojan virus which steals users’ personal details has infected at least 10,000 Australian computers. The "Haxdoor" or "A311 Death" virus is invisible to most anti-virus software. It can log keystrokes, capture user names and passwords stored in Windows and gather information from online forms such as tax returns. The Australian Taxation Office said on 2 August 2006 that 178 taxpayers lodging returns online recently had unwittingly revealed their tax-file numbers due to the virus
